The Doctors

Dr. Eric Lehouillier obtained his optometric education from the New England College of Optometry, he graduated with his Doctorate-of-Optometry in May 2012.  He began practicing here in Biddeford shortly thereafter. Not only does Dr. Lehouillier take pride in providing general optometric care to the public, but Dr. Lehouillier also has special training in working with children. 

Dr. Lehouillier has had a lifelong desire to help people. This drive lead him on the path to a medical career focused on helping people with one of their most important assets, vision. After working at Bolduc Eye Care for nearly a decade, Doctor Eric Lehouillier purchased the practice from Doctor Bolduc in 2021 and updated the name of the practice to Optometric Associates of Southern Maine to reflect his updated vision for the practice. 

When Dr. Lehouillier isn’t working, you will find him with his wife and young son. They enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring all that Maine has to offer. He is an avid car buff and enjoys snowmobiling in the winter months. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Maine Optometric Association.

Dr. Levesque was raised in the seacoast of New Hampshire. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Maine before receiving her Doctorate-of-Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She was residency trained in ocular disease through the Manchester VA Medical Center. Her interest in optometry stemmed from her visits to her optometrist as a young child. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys going to the beach and hiking. She is working on New Hampshire’s 4000-footers. 

Dr. Brian Howard grew up on Long Island, New York. He graduated from Stony Brook University with a degree in Biology, specializing in developmental genetics. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree with clinical honors from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Dr. Howard received clinical training throughout several practices in New England, gaining insight into optometric primary care, ocular disease management, and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Howard enjoys fitting contact lenses, managing and treating ocular disease, and is excited to serve the patients of Maine.
